frs-2017Following months of enjoying all sorts of music concerts and telling my friends about them I have been bullied into writing a blog about my gig experiences! I can’t claim in-depth technical musical knowledge, or a massive CD collection, but, I know what I like and what doesn’t sound good to me in a live setting. I’m intending to write honest reviews about bands, and the general experiences of the evening, people/venue/traffic! Stuff that I thought were annoying, like people talking through the sets and funny bits like when a dear friend of mine pointed out that it looks like I’m putting my towel down when I hit the barriers at the front and claim my spot with my jacket draped over the railings. What does he mean? Is it because I’m German?

Enough introductions, you will get to know me sooner or later! Oh and apparently I’m going to be referred to as Front Row Stef, simply because that is my rightful place!

yes I am there in berlin, am also back here at the 02 to set up the brits stage next week before going to europe. Gary may have been too distracted by playing to notice i think.

    Hi Stef

Good to meet you and Neil last night at the Hoxton Underbelly. Now I understand why they call you front Row Stef. Please could you be kind enough to send me a full resolution version of the picture you took of me and the Good Loevlies? My email is

Thanks, and hope to see you in the front row again.

P.S. Sorry if this is a duplicate post.

    Hi Steff
Good to meet you the other night at the Big Country gig. Strange that I only read your Frank Turner review the day before – spooky! Anyway, hope you escaped OK from the chaos after the RHCP gig on saturday. Perhaps catch you again at FT in Oxford. Suppose you’ll be in the front row…. All the best, Phil and Bradley :o)

    • FrontRowStef says:

Phil, really good to meet you too! Yes, we managed to escape RHCP, a bit wet though!! See you at the frontrow, maybe even before FT….enjoy the sunshine 🙂

Hey, finally found your badge at the bottom of my bag. What an awesome night! I can’t say it enough – thank you so much for suggesting that Nigel give me his spare Matchbox Twenty ticket. I still can’t quite believe it!

Looking at your list of upcoming reviews, it seems we’ve already shared a few front rows without knowing it. Hope to see you at another front row soon 🙂

PS. I’ve watched a bit of the replay on iTunes and think it sounds kinda flat – they’ve stripped out all the crowd noise and maybe some of the instruments. Oh well, we know the truth! Have only seen myself once so far, thankfully!

    Hi Stef!

Only just got round to leaving a comment on your blog.

Have to firstly say it was a pleasure to meet you and David on Saturday – it made the waiting at the roundhouse go so much quicker! Hope I didn’t bore you to death with my Hot Chip obsession lol I have to say that that was so far my best gig of theirs, been buzzing off it since!
I watched the gig back and you can see the pair of us dancing on the barrier and I put a screen shot on my Facebook where you see both of our faces clearly!

Hope you enjoyed Muse, looking forward to reading your reviews

    Hi Stef,
it was lovely to meet you on Tuesday at the 2Cellos concert. What a talented duo!!! At the very end I got a bit emotional when they played an old Croatian folk song and I promised to email you the name of the song, it’s “Majko Stara” by Matko Jelavic. Thanks for being so friendly and sweet and hope to see you at another gig in London.
